We love everything about this car except for just a few minor details! My oldest son is in a backless booster, a Graco 4ever Fit All In One model, and it is a little difficult for him to buckle his own seatbelt because of the angle of the bottom connector against his booster. This is a pretty bulky booster though and I believe with a slimmer model he wouldnt have the issue. The cupholders are a little snug for larger containers (like a Stanley 40 oz) but they do hold them. There isnt a great place to put your cell phone while driving but I keep mine on a vent magnet anyways so it doesnt make a big difference to me personally. Overall, we love the space, the captains seats in the second row, the AC is amazing (vents top and bottom all the way to the 3rd row), has a good back up camera, good bluetooth, I really have no bad things to say about it. Very minor annoyances that are easily fixed, and may not matter to most people. 4.8 stars out of 5! Sep 05, 2024

Buying this car used in 2024.
This is a very quiet interior still even after 10 years on the road. Leather has held up well as has the button array with no sign of wear on any.
There is no Android auto on anything before 2016 but you can connect a phone for playing music.
There is a Navi system built into Intellilink but any can only be updated for vehicles 2018 and newer so this 2014 does not show the 417 highway on it.
Great car but there are things to think about. I use google maps on my phone so the native Navi is not an issue.Jul 17, 2024

This car looked great on the exterior but was falling apart on the inside. Things the dealer never disclosed. A personal mechanic strongly recommended not to buy. $13,800 car with over $9,000 in repairs needed.Jul 17, 2024

Spacious inside without being oversized and cumbersome to drive. This has all the functionality of a family vehicle without screaming “I’M A MOM, LOOK AT MY MOM CAR!” (IYKYK) It’s been two weeks since my purchase and I’m STILL getting compliments! I can drive in style without compromising my family’s safety and that’s a win-win for me!Jun 04, 2024

I love the features of this car! It has slightly high mileage but that was reflected in the price. Good value in my opinion. I went from the Encore to the Enclave. Im so glad I did!Mar 20, 2023

Words cannot express how much I love and appreciate this SUV!
It rides like a Cadillac or Town Car, but can accelerate with no effort, it handles as beautifully as it looks, the remote start, heated seats, power lift gate, sunroof and moonroof are a dream come true!
I’ve owned several different vehicles in my lifetime and this one by far is my absolute favorite!
You’d never guess it’s a 2010 except for the radio because it’s not the touch screen with navigation or back up camera (the backup camera is in the rear view mirror which I actually really like) and that can be resolved easily with an aux cord and if you own an iPhone a converter that has a plug for earphones.
The Bose system of life and I see myself owning this beauty for years to come!Dec 11, 2021

I was not originally looking to purchase a midsize SUV but after test driving this vehicle and researching its longevity, I opted to purchase this particular SUV. My overall verdict is still on hold until Ive owned this vehicle for awhile but thus far, I like it. Aug 11, 2021

We shopped over a year, taking time since nothing was wrong with the car we were replacing, a 2010 Cadillac CTS. We wound up looking at two different "sets" of vehicles. The top three in the less expensive set were the Subaru Forester, the Honda Crosstour, and the Toyota Highlander. The top three we wound up picking from were the Buick we bought, the Cadillac SRX, and the Ford Explorer.
Two reasons for trading. 1. My shot knees were making exit from the Cadillac painful, so I needed something higher. 2. We were interested in the new safety tech that has come along since our last purchase in 2010.
We have not had the Enclave long enough to have an opinion on durability, but we've had zero problems and the dealer will service it for free for two years, so we don't even pay for oil.
We rejected the Ford because of the awful Consumer Reports frequency of repair ratings combined with a warranty inferior to the Buick and the Cadillac. (FYI: I did not fit in a Lexus or Accura. Mercedes and BMW required purchase of too much we did not want to get the tech we wanted.)
The exit problem was solved in all three of the top contenders. The Cadillac handled best of the three, but the Buick is no slouch for its size. It hauls way more than the Cadillac and was slightly more comfortable to exit. While in them, comfort was a wash.
We are right now on our first long road trip, Texas to Minnesota. The Enclave is producing about 19 mpg city and 26 mpg highway on regular gas, slightly less than our CTS when hauling a lot more weight. Highway comfort is superb, as is handling.
We are really getting spoiled by the blind spot radar, but I would not have this vehicle without it. The blind spot is huge. Of all the vehicles we shopped, only the Subaru did not offer this, but we still ranked the Subaru highly because it did not have a blind spot.
I wish the anti-tailgating gizmo had a more sensitive setting. We have it on most sensitive and the green icon does not turn yellow soon enough for safety. When it gives you a collision alert, it does get your attention. Same thing with the back up version. I had not had the car a week when the back up device warned me of a dog that was not visible on the back up camera!
I love how the icon in the outside review mirror goes bananas if you engage a turn signal when somebody is in your blind spot.
Both of the reasons we bought this car are so far A plus. We have the tow package but have not used it yet.
Will update this review if anything changes. This is fairly soon to be reviewing. I was waiting for a long road trip.Jun 14, 2015

I still own this vehicle , I still Love this vehicle, no matter what headaches it throws my way.
I searched for this particular Enclave for 6 months before i found the ONE that I wanted for the mileage, the 1 owner, price, with the options that this one has, all the way down to the color - inside and out. Jan 01, 2015

This a great vehicle which can have 7 passengers for a fun trip! Captain seats in back with a 3rd row bench. Captain seats can adjust for longer legged people or move forward to give a little more room for the 3rd row. The Enclave gives you the feel that you have total control of the road especially in the winter. Very reliableApr 18, 2014

I purchased this 2009 Buick Enclave with 39k miles as a one owner vehicle. Then added 15k miles in a short seven months. During that time we had taken 6 road trips of 1000 miles or more. It is has become the "go to" vehicle for family trips. It's quick, quiet & comfortable. I have a heavy foot that averaged 21+MPG. It offers XM radio, DVD w/ wireless headphones, navigation, multiple climate zones(driver, front passenger & rear) plus hot/cold front seats. The sunroof and panoramic skylight keep the interior from feeling claustrophobic.
The Buick Enclave is the nicest vehicle I have ever owned. I would recommend it to anyone that wants the heft of an SUV neatly wrapped in high end tech and luxury.Mar 22, 2013

This car is just awesome, quite and comfy interior, great looking exterior. Head lights give a perfect vision at night. Very safe. The 3.6 liter engine gives surprisingly good performance for this SUV that is on the heavier side. Over all very nice vehicle.Dec 24, 2012

We purchased this car because we wanted 8 passenger seating. The seating is comfortable and the cargo space is great. The car lacks power for such a large vehicle and the fuel economy could be better. We will likely trade this in for a Ford Flex or a Ford Explorer which both have better fuel economy and power, but only seat 7.Nov 29, 2011

We LOVE our Enclave in every way, except the navigation system. Great pick up, super sound system, love the bluetooth. Everythinig, except that terrible Navigation system. It looks great but is totally worthless. Actually it's worse than worthless because if you use it, there is no telling where you will end up. If you choose to go the extra expense, be sure your getting it for the right reason. Otherwise, use your iphone or Garmen but don't rely on the factory product.
Just enjoy the light it emmits and the rest of the car, it's great!Oct 30, 2009
