Un vrai momument ! A sa sortie au milieu des années 80, elle était seule au monde de part ses performances, sa tenue de route que son style. Lorsque j'étais gamin, j'en voyais une quasiment tous les jours, alors pensez quelle ne fut pas ma joie lorsque j'ai découvert qu'un de mes bons amis a la chance d'en avoir qui plus est en parfait état et d'origine !!! Ce qui ce fait de plus en plus rare !!! Déjà, monter comme passager m'aurait suffit mais en prendre le volant !!! Même si elle reste une auto très performante, il n'en demeure pas moins qu'en prendre le volant c'est faire un saut dans le passé ! Au-delà du fait que c'est une machine bruillante avec une direction loin d'être directe, elle n'en reste pas moins capable d'éclater beaucoup de prétendantes modernes. Me retrouver derrière le volant trois branches m'a projetté 20 ans (25 plutôt) lors que j'étais marmot sur le bord des routes du Tour de Corse et que je regardais des M3 E30 Gr.A aux couleurs Rothmans passer dans un bruit déchirant à réveiller les morts... The ultimate handling car-amazing balance and can be drifted with power on over-steer! I purchased this in 97' with only 15.6k miles on it. It know resides in a private collection out east and I sold with 48k miles on it. Though BMW's are not inexpensive to maintain they more than make up for it is sheer driving pleasure. Hmmm where do I start...Most of you out there dream to own one, and a nice one I have got. The E30 M3 (1988-1991 US) is in MY OPINION the best M3 ever built. No, it is not the fastest car out of the box 195 HP 2.3L DOHC 16 valve inline 4 cylinder engine. BMW only imported 5,000 of these very rare cars to the US, and they are becoming hard to find and expect to pay anywhere from $15,000-$30,000 for a nice one. And the prices will continue to go up. I have raced my M3 quite a bit on real tracks, not drag and the handling is amazing, especially for a 20 year old car. It only weighes 2,700 LBS and with the right mods and suspension you have a potent little machine. My Dad has a 2003 E46 M3 and he says the E30 handles beter. Bottom line: If you have the opportunity to buy one that is clean and it is a steal, jump on it, because these cars are becoming harder and harder to find, and will be worth big $$ someday.Feb 25, 2009

Now officially a classic collector's car, with only 4996 made for the U.S. Moreover the e30 M3 is a racing legend, holding the record for the most wins in racing, period... I love it's balance, handling and styling most simple but effective. With modern upgrades like standalone engine management and turbos this classic can still dominate it's class and others! This is a real drivers' car. It was originally designed as a race car using Bmw's F1 engine then homogenized into a street vehicle. It was produced from 1988-91. About 750 per year were sent to the U.S. It's not the fastest car I've driven, but it is one of the most enjoyable. E30 M3s come with marvelous engines (2.3l inline four with individual throttles per cylinder and revs up to 8k), fantastic handling and braking, and look pretty aggressive. It is an old car so for sure there was and still is plenty to repair, but what do you expect for a nearly 20 year old car. You can definitely tell this was originally designed as a race car, but it still has that BMW comfort, ingenuity, and refined feeling that they are well known for. MPG isn't bad. Highway I see about 25 and city is high teens low 20s. If you love to drive, can do your own work (or can afford to have some one do it!), and want to own a piece of automotive history, I would definitely recommend this car.....If you can find one!Sep 12, 2008

My 88 M3 has been through hell and back. Bought it all messed up and with no drivetrain, the car was pretty much ready to be parted out and forgotten. I got my hands on it, gave a new paint job, rims, motor and so forth, and now its back for way more! The car itself is so unique and thats what makes it special. The spoiler, the badging.....the fender flares, all just add to beauty of the car. Only the original m3 has such a character and that is why this one is back from the dead!Mar 31, 2008
