Generally an all around good car but very nice styling and interior.
Not much power (I have the 1.9 Diesel), the 2.4 may be a lot better. In fact I
may trade up.
Handles OK
Had cam-belt, water-pump and service just recently £700.
Need to replace glow plugs, only £40 on ebay and a job I can do myself.Apr 01, 2013

Super nice car!!!! I have nothing else to say more about this car.
Engine, Gearbox, suspensions, design, everything is super nice, qualitative and powerfull when we drive it!!
Really a car to recommend to other people. Alfa is for me the best choice!!!!Mar 17, 2013

Great car with character! This is my 18th Alfa Romeo, and I still love the mark!
After the Alfetta, Guiliettas, Spiders, 33, 75, 155, 164, gtv, 147, 146... another greath Alfa!
Pleasant drive, good quality, lovely design inside and outside.Feb 13, 2012

Well built, beautiful car that make me happy driving. The 150bph diesel engine is not really big enough but....
Lovely to drive in snowy and icy conditions. Best car I ever had!! I would recommend it to every gear head.Feb 18, 2010

Great design, suprisingly great handling. A bit on the
heavy side. Very sturdy, no reps. yet. Its a diesel, so it
isn't too expensive. It is pretty cool to drive, but for
fun i'd choose a Alfa Romeo Bertone 1971 GTANov 21, 2009

Let's hit the road!!Aug 26, 2009

For an Italian car the quality and reliability is surprising. The looks are beauty beyond all probability and the performance is great - if you take into account that it is a diesel. All of that adds up to a superb premium sedan with plenty of options.Jul 23, 2009

Nice exterior and performance, but poor build
quality.
The space is too small for such size car. You expect
it to be bigger on the inside.
The trunk is too small.
But driving it both commuting and for pleasure is
shear fun. And on top of it the fuel consumption is
acceptable, even when driving it fast.Jul 09, 2009

Got the 2.4 JTDm Diesel version and it rocks!! There is so much torque and once the turbo starts spinning, it actually hurts your neck while accelerating...It's a real sports family executive car, with more than enough power on tap for the highways...the looks actually scare the drivers in front so that they move into the other lane to let u pass :)Jun 01, 2009

Just needs better off the mark times other than that its a weapon (Q4 that is). Its Braking is out of this world, the car is so solid that you can't even hear the wind blowing past. The car is so innocent to the road, with a blink of an eye your doing well over the limit. Most importantly the car looks amazing. May 05, 2009

What a car !
It's gorgeous, the engine's sound is amazing for a diesel engine
The build quality has nothing to compare with the old 156
Although it's a station wagon, the trung is quite small and the rear passengers hav not a lot of space for their legs. But i don't care!Feb 24, 2009

My car is the 3.2 Q4 with Q-tronic box in Ti spec. It is not a fast car compared to the germans with similar engines. The sound is not like the same germans either.... but...
This car has soul and style..and the best seats of all cars i have ever owned or driven.... so what if it falls apart. I will only keep it as long as the 3 year warranty is valid, then the next person can worry about the build quality..
Cost of ownership.. who cares.. if it worries anybody, they should buy a Skoda.. which I by the way also own and it's great for it's use.

Driven both the saloon and sportwagen in 1.9 & 2.4 turbo diesel forms. The 2.4 is quite a performer but the 1.9 visits the fuel station less often.
The sportwagen is of course more practical for trips to the DIY store and travelling with a dog for example, although the rear load space is nowhere near the likes of a Volvo or Merc E-classAug 03, 2008

One of the most beautiful cars out there. Engine,
breaks and steering performance is great, and the
sound is wonderful. Interior are very nice and the car
is loaded with features. A car that want's to be driven
(hard) I enjoy driving it every day and simply just love
it :-)Jul 15, 2008

It handles very directly, but I think it could do with a more noisy engine, like the GTA.Mar 05, 2008

Nice comfortable drive, but not very responsive and not much feel through the steering.Jan 30, 2008
