Fantastic car, huge boot takes washing machines and sofas with the rear seats folded flat. Best cruising up and down motorways eating up the miles. The Zetec engine gives you a good level of power but fuel economy does suffer a little for that.Apr 15, 2012

Not a bad motor. lpg makes cheaper to run. Valve stem oil seals wear quick due to lpg but still not a bad family car in general. Faults are rear tie bars and they need replacing often. The body styling is a simple look but the front has a cool grill which woud look good with chrome lines.Oct 30, 2011

Performance is very good for the price bracket, handling is the
best in its class, good fun to drive. Build quality is good
enough, have had no issues with it. Looks good, great curves
but avoid the saloon version. Great car for every type of
journey, always makes it enjoyable.Feb 17, 2010

Great car, diesel engine will outlast mankind itself. Though a bit slow on perfromance from a 1.8, only 88 bhp its does deliver 45-50 mpg. Comfortable and cheap to get parts in the unlikely even anything does go wrong. I have never had to anything to it except replace standard wear and tear parts.Dec 02, 2009

a good acceleration for a 9 years old 2.0 engin, the brakes are very good handaling is avarage the build qulity is good for the ford company but it is batter if it was US made. once you repear somthing you can forget about it avareg gas consuption it took about 50L to drive about 550km mostly on highway. I love my car but i wish it was a mustangNov 08, 2009

easy to modify benefits from superchip stainless steel exhaust and remapped ecu, can also be upgraded using the specail vehicle technology range of upgrades, also possible to supercharge them aswell, but beware of reliability if you tune past 280 bhp Sep 18, 2009

this was the best car i owned. full leather interior, handled well not gr8 but was an absolutely gr8 drive especially for long distances. running costs were reasonable and build quality was gr8. exterior was good but boring. shame it was vandalisedJul 17, 2009

i got this for £500 when my fiat stopped working, it was cheaper to buy this than to fix the fiat. its 1.8L and is great for the motorway between southampton and london. as everyone knows the mondeos are not the best car, but there is nothing wrong with them. great car great drive. a bit of a pain to park as its longer than a landrover freelander, and the woman that owned it before me gave it some dents. its a good car that i cant fault.May 17, 2009

Brought this car for £1500 as a standard 2.5 Ghia X 1999
its got all the toys electric seats heated seats and ft/bk windows traction control! and full leather interior!
Started off getting the exhaust modded from 1 to duel exit then lexus rear lights and morrette head lights then the full ST body kit and spoiler with TSW Pace alloys! getting a loverly Chrome and black look!
Loverly Car put a lot of hard work into it sad to see it go!
Also people have seen it around since I sold it and have told me its gone downhill looking quiet rough and tackyFeb 03, 2009

Performance: 170bhp and loads of Torque makes sure this car doesn't hang around.
Build Quality: Excellent build quality and feels solid.
Appearance: ST24 comes with the RSAP Bodykit and 16" turbine alloys which make this Mondeo stand out over the others.
Cost of Ownership: Not to bad on fuel to be honest and as its a Ford its cheap to service.
Fun Factor: Lovely and smooth to drive when you just wanna cruise along but whack your foot down and you'll be surprised.Sep 27, 2008

2.5lt 24v V6 engine that holds 200bhp, in a Mondeo! while possibly not the quickest car nowadays, in its time, had no rivals! and still turns heads today!Apr 20, 2008

The 2.5v6 ST200 is a lot of car for not a lot of cash.It moves like it should be lighter,it sounds like it should be racier but at the same time,it delivers.
near 200bhp and 170lbs torque,it pulls and pulls.
Turns in well and always turns heads with that Imperial Blue colour.
Lots of leccy toys,a certain dads racer tag thats slowly fading now there affordable and those of us much younger can appreciate them cos we didnt have 23 grand when they were knew!!!Apr 03, 2008

It is built to a quality, after many years of study, everything on that car (assuming you are using stock parts) will last more than declared. Nothing thrilling, nothing special, but very solid, secure and lasting.Jan 24, 2008
