although i have only owned my car a short period of time i am very pleased with it. the first thing that strikes you is the styling, far from conservative but never vulgar or distastefull just stylish, distinctive and unmistakenly italian from the sleek nose to the "bread van" tail down to the flared wings that give it its purposefull stance. once inside the quirkyness begins to show with the dash cutting away to the windscreen on the passenger side and the odd wiper stalk, quality wise is mainly good but not immune to the usual loose bits of trim and some cheap plastics. but it wouldnt matter if the seats were trimmed with dog furr and the dash was made from fossilised cow mess because this cars magic all happens when you turn the key.
firing the 2.0 16v twin spark engine into life with a deep burble is an immensley satisfying experience but not compared to the raspy roar that can be heard as it hurtled towards the horizon with the uegency of a clubber running to a kebab van after a night out on the beer. on the move what stands out is the sharpness of the steering and how it just dials into the deepest parts of your soul making each turn of the wheel feel as direct as natural as breathing. running costs? that would mean thinking. you buy an alfa romeo with your heart, not your head.Jul 28, 2008

basically a (well) reworked fiat tipo, it does have everything an alfa
should have, except rwd. great handling, reasonable servicing price and
a revvy twin spark engine. but if it doesn't have to be an alfa, you are
better off with a fiat bravo, which is almost the same car, withouth the
badge and better economy.Jun 10, 2008

Beside standard italian problems with electrics, great car for little money. Excelent handling, great breaking....little leak of torque (becouse this model have weakest engine on market) but it compensates with high power on high revs...it just sounds great on > 6500 rpms :) Apr 20, 2008
