Not a bad little car. Performance wasn't great, with a 1000cc 4cyl engine, it couldn't be described as quick, though the 5spd gearbox helped at motorway speeds (it did 100mph at a push) the brakes were more than sufficient for the power it produced, and the handling wasn't too bad. The build quality was typically Italian, but everything worked, just a little rust around the bottom of the doors. It did crumple a little too much when i crashed it though (twice). The exterior was BOXY! The interior was somewhat sparse and lightweight, the dash was held together with a carboard tube. Gas mileage was good. Never really had to do any maintenance apart from an oil change. Fun factor: low.
Though its not a great car in the scheme of things i have a fondness for it since it was my first car.Jan 14, 2009

I`ve owned many baby Fiats, 126s, Unos, Pandas & have adored all of them, despite what you may have heard, they are mechanically reliable, I am a hard driver, but I`ve only managed to kill one of them (gearbox failure which was replaced at home with basic tools in 2 hours). Always eager despite the 1.0 models only having 45bhp, they handle like go karys & offer alot of fun & smiles, fuel bills closer to a motorbike than a car!Mar 16, 2008
