He's broken quite often but I can't give up with him because he's my Romeo! We have seen many troubles together. The engine has broke two times, water has ran in, gas tank has a leak, there has been lot of RUST etc. Those things make our lives exciting and I have learned to respect while everything is all right =) Sep 10, 2008

Nice Youngtimer with a great Sound for little money. I love the Alfa Boxer engines ;)
It's a 1,3l with 2 Double-Carburator developing 86HP, enough to have fun with not even 1000kg.
0-100Km/h (0-60mp/h) is around 10 to 12 sec.
It only cost me 2000€ when i bought it mid 2008 with only 32000km! So it's a new car...Sep 09, 2008

The previous owner of my Alfa Romeo 33 Europa 90 was my mom. She gave it to me after she had a small accident with it and wanted to have it shredded, which I wouldn't allow her to do. I loved the car because it had a boxer engine. Although it was only the basic 1.351cc engine, it had character for ten. Drive it, love it. Ok, there was no power steering, the gearbox cracked in second and reverse, there was some rust coming up all over the place and it had nicks and ticks everywhere probably from carelesness. The performance was impressive for a 85bhp engine, which was mainly due to the revvy boxer character and light body. Many were surprised by the swift acceleration of that old rat car. The handling was not bad, although it didn't had anti-roll bars. The boxer was very low in the chassis, making it roll less by nature than any other car in its league. Personally I liked the edgy styling, but clearly not everyone shared my opinon. The interior however was (for its era) italian stylish.
The build quality was typically Alfa, which already indicates the typical weak points: bodywork corrosion, poor electric installation, parts coming loose, parts not well fitted, doubtful finishing etc. But once you'd started the engine & revved it, you happily forgave it all its shortcomings and smile ever after...Aug 05, 2008
