in my eyes the perfect car. smooth revs. normal driving is more enjoyable just because the way that the car feels. its not very costly to buy. quality is great, come on 26 years old and still rockin sexy! very fun experience Jan 15, 2012

this car was bone stock just looks fast...power was lacking (for me..i drive a lot of
turboed cars) otherwise a lot of fun..best part is i didnt have to stick a penny into

Awesome car its RWD and a great drift car as well as grip racing car and its fun just 2 mod with a rotary engine. plus it teaches the driver balance and brake control as well as momentum stability. Great.Mar 18, 2011

If only it was turbo it would have been perfect. By far the best handling car I ever drove. With traction or with no traction you could put the car anywhere with seemingly no effort. Steering was extremely sensitive and tight (favorite part about the car). No complaints except for the stupid shift light and buzzer that went off if you hit redline. Gas mileage is horrid. Never had to fix anything on the car. As long as you check your oil and add accordingly (made to burn some oil) and do all the little tricks, like rev when shutting down to get extra gas out and not letting it sit too long letting the seals dry out, this car will give no problemsAug 09, 2010

Performance- many mods, it might as well fly.
Build Quality- lets put it this way when they came out with the 05 mustang they built them in Mazda American plants were the rx-8 hails from for quality and precision what more can i say Mazda always had it going on.
Appearance- pics are a little old has new front bumper besides that has small scratches here and there it is an 86 barley any rust.
Cost of Ownership- pull the check book, and it can burn holes in your pocket but i worked most of that out.

Pros: its a rotary, its very well balanced, it sounds good, hadles good, its an rx-7, it destroys hondas, it has a MOMO STEERING WHEEL!, haha that is actually my favorite part and the 4 piston brakes!
Cons: it needs a paint job, a new hood, better springs, a working interior fan so i could defrost the window, and a few others...Apr 02, 2010

I hate the 13b rotarys disgustingly slow low end until about 3,000 rpm but being able to take it up to about 9,500 rpm is nice :) really fun car to drive.. girl magnet when they hear that turbo spool and see the tires spinning pouring out smokeJan 08, 2010

I loved the high revving horsepower, the brakes kept me out of trouble and it handled like a housefly. everything was ergonomically perfect in the interior and the seating postion made you at one with the car. perfect 50/50 weight ratio. Mileage sucked ass but repairs were nil as there were very few moving parts in a rotory motor. Mine wasn't laoded with all the gear which probably made it faster if not more visually appealingIt compared in stature to the Porche 924 but squashed it in every measurable and asthetic aspect. Performance - No torque, perfectly balanced road ripper.
Good build quality, however the wankel does come with its own set of trouble.
Poor gas mileage if you like hearing high rpms...

Outruns more expensive competition such as
honda s2k nissan 240 porsche 924 944 with
just headers and exhaust most older cars
need fresh grounds rx7 really benefit from
this turns heads and spawns conversation
not very good for long daily commutes poor

is a very awsome vehicle. the rotary engine is very unique and are quite reliable. Very strong body and chassis. performance is a given with car as well as the price! I picked this up for about a $1000 dollars and its a fantastic project car. overall and grand car fun for everyone!Aug 14, 2008

i like my car because it uses the all unique rotary technology. it helps keep it light-weight, quiet engine and save on gas... and it is moderatly fast. it is not the best looking car but it isnt ugly. it looks alot like a porsche 944. i traded it strait up for a VW bug. its fun because even though its quiet to drive it roars when you push it and it is fun to take it around tight corners.Jun 26, 2008

Handling is exellent and the engine was great pulling hard to redline. Great interior with comfortable leather seats with great support and moonroof and power options. Auto adjusting suspension and speed sensitve steering were great as well as the 5 speed trans with hydraulic clutch and 4 wheel disc brakes.
