the Z lives up to its fame, its light body weight a mere 1020kg with its 2.8L straight 6 and fully independent suspension make it great. who doesn't like the body styling. (nothing more needs to be sayed about the Z)Aug 21, 2010

This car is a sporty car, with a straight 6 in it. It handles nicely on the roads and is fast because it is so little. It is a two seater, gets about 20-22 mpg city wide and 25 highway mpg. I had it painted because if you find them they are usually in bad shape on the body. Jun 15, 2010

It's a fun car to drive and the kids love the front grill! It took 3 years for Gary to finish this car.......but he loved every minute of it. He loves tinkering on it and taking it out for a Sunday drive along the lakeshore.Apr 01, 2010

Nice looks for something that drives like a Buick - Drove it when I was thinking of getting a sports car in 1977. Compared to the Porsche 924, this thing drove like a Buick. It was a bit more affordable, though, and had the reputation of holding up well. It had slightly better acceleration than the Porsche. Mar 28, 2010

better than m first 240z in that it's fuel injected so you didnt need to fiddle with the choke on cold mornngs and you didnt smell ike a gas station attendant after long drives but it was more refined and (to me) less rewarding to drive even if it might have actually been a bit faster ...Dec 12, 2009

Great handling, great power (for it age) but could have
more power... i'm thinking on fuel injection and a turbo =D
it looks great! its a beautifull car, but a 240z would be
better...
its an old car, it has 32 years already, so, yes, it need
some repairs... there are some parts where the rust starts
to come out...
it a expensive car to drive, itas a inline 6 cylinder with 2
carburetors... so, yes, a gallon doesnt give you a lot of
milleage.
its is very fun to drive on corners, and drifting =D and also
its a kind of atention hore XDNov 28, 2009

Start at the bottom and work up. Yokahama AVS ES100 tires, old school black spider web with aluminum lip Einkis, KYB struts, poly kit, Toyota four piston front calipers, flat top pistons, stage three cam, 4BBL intake, Carter 625 CFM AFB, ACT stage two clutch. Acceleration? yup, brakes? yup handeling? yup Quality? all I can afford. Apperance? getting there Cost? yup, it costs. Fun? YUPOct 02, 2009

For a two seater, this is one of the best sports car buys. It's proven reliability
lives on to this day and many more ahead. There is plenty of acceleration that
continues well past freeway speeds. It's handling is second nature. It's shape
is classic. With the manual steering, you become one with the road. The seats
are low and there is so much leg room that you can stretch out your legs on
long drives. This car is 31 years old, solid, fast, easy to maintain, rarely needs
repair, and when it does, parts are easy to aquire. This car is all about fun! I
can't wait to drive it through wine country to get to work in the morning.Nov 04, 2008

These cars are becoming more scarce everyday. They were built from 1975-1978 and were the first Z cars to have fuel injection. They weighed about 2700 lbs. with 145 hp. That doesn't sound like a lot of power, but it's enough for a car that size and with the handling capabilities it has to be one of the most fun I have ever driven. I got mine in 1992, and still own it. I am in the process of replacing/restoring a lot of the engine and suspension parts right now. It needs a little TLC since it has nearly 250,000 miles on its 31 y.o. frame. I joined a local Z club (Emerald City Z Club) about 7 years ago, and since then I have learned so much about the heritage of the Z and Nissan - formerly Datsun in the U.S. I've enjoyed my Z for many years, and hope to continue enjoying it once I get it back on the road. It has certainly never won any awards for having the best paint job or coolest stereo. But, I've accumulated a large number of cosmetic and performance parts over the years. I have major plans of resto-modding the car to retain the cool old school factor while spanking a few new Hondas & Toyotas. I'm heavily influenced by the look and performance of the Z cars in Japan. Someday I will achieve the goals that I've set for my Z, but for now I'm just taking it as I can get it.Jul 31, 2008

classic Japanese entrance into the mid size sports car in the 70's. Little beast handles awesome for its age; the suspension was way ahead of its time back then. Straight 6 motor stills pulls hard for a 2.8 liter. I have a turbo kit I plan to put on it soon. And, of course, its a stick :-DJul 25, 2008

Amazing cars, the history alone speak for itself. While
by today's standards they aren't the fastest, it's is still
quick. Parts are cheap and relatively easy to find. It's
easy to work on and is fuel-injected so it's reliable.Jul 05, 2008
