I love my car! I use it as a weekend driver. It's fun to take it to car shows and festivals.
It's quiet and rides real smooth. It has plenty of room for family and friends, and a trunk that could hold a VW.May 03, 2013

460 ci 385 series v8. Power everything. Real headturner. 0-60 around 8 seconds.
old school american iron. Ownership is very costly :D 2 owner. This car is a real fun

I really love my car. I think the lines are beautiful. Each one is realevant, flowing from a start point to an end point and creating an overall treat for the eye as it gazes upon one point and is gently guided to another. As far as styling goes, this car is amazing. '72 was the best year for the Mark IV, as the bumpers flowed with the trim - like they weren't there at all. '73 saw the fromt bumper pushed 8" in front of the car, and in '74 the rear got the same treatment. They seem a little out of place with the styling, but very tolerable. I'll be adding custom bumpers and rolled pans front and rear to correct this, as well as sliding them back under the body by eliminating the impact absorbers.
This car is FAST! It has a 460 CID (7.6 L) big block V-8 that feeds into a C-6 transmission and a 3.50:1 limited slip differential. My 460 is tired and it still impresses me. I intend to instal a multi-port 460 (7.6 L, not 4.60 L) from a older Ford 1T truck to get more power potential and better fuel economy, with less emissions. I say "power potential", because although I'm not going to install a P.O.S., the truck will be older and have a few miles on it. Eventually I will replace it with a fresh long block.
Handling... very impressive! The car weighs 6,500 Lbs. Most of that is lower on the car, which helps counter the body roll. It has a fast and responsive power steering and a well tuned front suspension and an adjustable four link type suspension with antisway bar in the rear. With a set of performance tires I took a 15 MPH hair pin a 65 with only mild drift. Inertia will pull you out slightly, but because of the massive weight, this car stays stuck! It's similar to an old lumpy fendered 'Vette (yes, I have driven several) in that she's loose and sloppy when your just going to the gas station, but she tightens up when you start pushing it.
Although there are may similarities in the overall feel (driver position is about the same, etc.) this is NOT an old Stingray... it weighs 3000 lbs more, you can bring 4 friends with when you cruise and if you're a bigger guy like me, the door isn't going to break your left arm when you close it (if you can close it). Plus, she's all steel - Really, Really thick steel! PURE HEAVY METAL!Sep 15, 2010

i loved the back seat and if you were to get into an accident well sorry for the other guy cause you are driving a tank on wheels the car was 6650 lbs and it would just cruz very easily doing 110 mph hovering the roadAug 11, 2009

I have a Town Coupe'. Only problem is the Motorcraft 4350 carburetor, which is junk. I replaced it with a Holley 4150 and it is now a dream to drive, giving me about 18 MPG. Very easy to drive, and still draws attention.May 05, 2009

Comfortable, Powerful, Suprisingly maneuverable. Ultra Quiet interior, beautiful designer trim options. Tolerable highway MPGs despite a 460 big block motor and a 3 speed transmission. Turns lots of heads too! All around great car built in the American glory days.Jan 23, 2009
