Starts every time and has plenty of get up and go from the small block V-8 ford, and is a joy to bang thru the 4- speed on the floor while chirping the tires with the top down on sunny days in the sunshine state/Nov 26, 2014

Performance with the straight six is awesome best fuel economy and bullet proof. Moved up to the 302 H.O. and can't wait to upgrade the brakes, with the stock brakes being hubs all the way around it doesn't stop as fast but soon all will be well. The interior was okay didn't like the color much but pretty roomy. Trunk space is awesome! The body lines are pure sexy when it comes to it. Love the square look to it with the front of the body coming to sort of a point.Jan 17, 2012

It's just all around fun, sounds nice handles nice...just fun to drive and cruise in! I built it locally and it has the 302 tork monster out of my old motorhome! Just a fun car that turns heads. I built a rear spoiler in the shape of a 69 RS/SS camaro and it actually works very well. Dec 19, 2011

Great fun little classic cars that can still be picked up cheap. Small enough you wont miss power steering/brakes, but they are an option. And add a V-8 and you got plenty of power, 3/4/5/6/speed or auto, pretty much your choice with a little mechanical knowledge.Dec 09, 2011

This car is badass. It has a 302 V8 from a 73 Mustang with dual glasspack exhaust. It will pass anything but a gas station. It is incredibly fun to drive but unfortunately does not run. I posted a thread about the issues.Jun 15, 2011

Ford Falcons are great cars to own, many of the 1960-70 Fords owe there engineering to the Falcon. This is just a review of this Falcon! I should have looked over this car better before buying it. rusted floors, frame, cracked shock towers, heavy undercoating sprayed over everything to hide damage, bad paint, repairs made that made the car unsafe to drive or work on.Nov 15, 2010

After high school I bought a different, 1965 Falcon Futura Hardtop with a mostly stock 289cid, Toploader 4 speed, the former owner at one time drag raced this car and had installed a 9" 28 spline, 2 spider gear Equal-Lok limited slip rear axle from a wrecked 65 Hipo Mustang he had, he told me it had 3.50:1 gears but later I found it had 4.11:1 gears. He installed a 2V 65 289cid and Cyclone headers before he sold it to me. It was pretty fast just set-up like this, it ran consistent low 15 second ET's at 93mph and got 19mpg. But I wanted more I rebuilt the motor added a .487/.511 lift, 298/300 duration Solid lifter cam, Holley 600cfm carburetor sitting on top a single plane manifold, full roller rocker arms, ported 351W heads with 1.90 and 1.60 valves. This car screamed! it idled at 1000rpms, and there is no better sound then a solid lifter cam engine at idle (sewing machine) sound. The first time I took my Father for a ride in it I broke the drive shaft shifting into 3rd gear at 6500 rpms! I scared him so bad, he never rode in the car again after that. After I got married and had kids the car sat on the side of my dads house for years and the car went to crap, rusting out. I pulled everything out of it that was still good and hoped that someday I could build a car like that again. This is that Car!Nov 12, 2010

* Performance - Good acceleration, Stock drum braking, Stock handling.
* Build Quality - has needed no repairs, starts right up all the time, Very Quite ride, some Ford A-arm squeaks now and then
* Appearance - both interior and exterior are beautiful, lots of chrome and stainless steel trim.
* Cost of Ownership - 17-20 mpg with a 4V, V8 engine with non-overdrive transmission and 13" tires is great, I love the styling of the original spinner hub caps so I kept them, maintenance is very easy , parts are easy to find and fairly affordable. This car originally had a 170cid engine that got 22-27 mpg, but could not handle the higher freeway speeds very well.
* Fun Factor - Excellent, convertibles are always fun, old cars are always fun also. This is with out a question the best car I have ever owned!

This car is badass, i got the Sprint V8 and that thing
flies for such a small V8, and it weights less then a
fiberglass vette so as soon as we match up the
horsepower, we'll be eating them for breakfast.Oct 04, 2009

Accelerates and drives like a raped ape, corners tight, stops fairly quickly. The body is solid and very sturdy, not mention the pretty lines and chrome accents. Despite being a high-performance engine, the small block Ford gets decent gas mileage for the amount of power it has. And for those of you who drive Mustangs...... YOU'RE WELCOME. The Mustang was based off the Falcon!Jun 23, 2009

Performance is good. The little 260 small block carries a lot more power than you would think. The Falcon is a sturdy platform, though mine needs a little restoration, as any 40+ car would. The interior and exterior lines are graceful, reminscent of the 50's classics, yet have the attitude of the muscle car era. Being a small block, it does get decent gas mileage if you don't stand on it all the time. It's a bit of a maintenance hog now since i'm still restoring it. It's a total blast to drive, though.Jan 14, 2009

It is great accelerating has a 2 speed automatic right now. The braking could be better still using drums until I find some disk brakes. It is completely rebuilt, interior and exterior is beautiful not rust like you see on most of them. Gets about 20 miles per gallon, and do it yourself maintenance. It is fun to drive, and soon will have enough room for almost any engine. Right now just have a 260 small block v8 in it but soon will have a 302 with a few hundred horse power. Just need to save up some money and open up the front end and put the 8 inch in the rear end. Sep 22, 2008

Since the Mustang is so popular, there are so many. But the Ford Falcon is little known. There aren't as many people that know of them. Put the same V8 into this car, and you got yourself a "Mustang".May 28, 2008
