This is a Kapitän P, not a Rekord. Introduced in 1958 this jubilee-edition was a huge success. Elegant styling at a fair cost. This is the last year of the reliable 2.5 litre straight six cylinder cast iron engine. Rust protection reached an all time low in 1959 so very few are left. Horn ring is weaker than a caddy 59' ring otherwise the Opel Kapitän is a nice experience I can recommend.Sep 17, 2009
