Inquired about a '24 Tundra SR5 TRD at about 9 am, that I found through CarGuru. Was told it had just come in. Hadn't been out on lot yet. Told rep I was interested. Started finance application process. Told I could put a deposit if needed once I found out if I could get financing, as I would be buying it sight unseen, coming in a couple weeks from Kelwona. Rep told me he would get back to me on the financing within an hour. 3 hours later no word on financing, but he did call me back to inform me someone else had been working a deal on the truck, unbeknownst to him, and although there was nothing official, he was likley to buy the truck by end of day. He informed me I COULD secure the truck, basically steal it away from this other person, if I put down a NON REFUNDABLE 1000 DOLLAR DEPOSIT. At this point I still had not received any word on financing. Uhhhhh. No thanks. Lose my number. Called back days later to ask if I still wanted it as no one bought it. Nope. Got one in Kelowna, THX.
