The hybrid system is excellent, it is rated for 36 mpg, however purchasing the new Sienna from Apex, North Carolina and driving it back to NY, it averaged 45 mpg for more than 500 miles, of course under mild driving.

The vehicle has some nice features but the technology is not keeping up with other automakers. According to some reviews, the line has some issues that the automaker does not take seriously and passes them off as (normal). Specifically the problem with starting the vehicle and braking quirks.

Excellent car. Great value. Should make more of these so one does not have to wait so long. I have to order in Dawson Creek and drive back to Vancouver, and it still requires a 4 - 6 months wait! Vancouver is a 2 - 3 years wait! I almost went for Honda Odyssey, but I really like the fuel efficiency of the Sienna.
