not a bad car-without powersteering it is quite heavy to drive at low speeds,good for its time -fair for nowadays.The volvo 340 was powered by either a 1.4L or a 1.7L renault engine.The 1.7L 8 valve carb engine gave out 81 hp and reasonable torque which gives it reasonable pace considerng the car weighs in at 1000kgs meaning 80 hp/tonne.not a bad car-and definatley one that should be preserved for the future.

1.7l solex carb and rear wheel drive made this car a suprisingly great drive, dispite the old man image this car is great fun sounded great and resonable amount of power for a 1.7 litre, comfy seats and big steering wheel make it a flunt drive

nice granny car 4 speed transmission not including the reverse it topspeed is 160 kph or 100mph on a very long straight road.. but it is very funny on grass or on gravel because off its rear wheel drive, or wet surfaces .

A good first car, was green though. Handled well, but not a very powerful engine as it had the Renault 14 engine, which for the size and weight of body was under gutted.
