The Beaumont was actually an Acadian Beaumont Sports Deluxe. Black with white interior stock 283 cu in. V8, 2speed Powerglide trans, console shift, bucket seats up front, bench in back, lots of cool trim decals on the grill on all over the car. It drove nicely for a stock car, obviously would've liked more power but if you kicked it into first at around 50 mph you got some peak hp from the motor and a nice little push back into the seat. This is a rare car, one of only around 900 made with this trim package. Classic styling and feel. I sold it to a guy who was going to restore it and upgrade the motor to a hopped up 283. Tons of fun had with this beauty, especially considering it was my first car. Purchased in 1995 (fourth owner), sold in 1999. Started a family and all of a sudden my baby was gone.

I built this car with my dad and its got a lot of centimental value. Overall its not the fastest car on the road but i think she does not too bad. i think that the beaumont is a fun car to drive and it meets my needs for sure

performance wise the Beaumont is a great cruiser nothing big nor nothing too small. acceleration is pretty good with the 2 speed powerglide transmission. The 194ci straight 6 is a reliable motor with 175,000 miles and still running strong. The motor does burn a bit of oil but the motors over 40 years old so that is to be expected. The entire body of the car is as solid as a rock so in a head on collision chances your going walk away if your in one. Handling wise it handles pretty good without power steering. The car is pretty heavy so it just glides along like a semi truck. The Beaumont is a blast to drive especially with the armstrong steering because you can just feel the road. Ive never drove anything like it.

My first car that has never let me down it runs and drives like a champ and has cheep and easy parts to fix. has manual breaks, steering, transmission. feel super connected to my car when i'm driving it. i love this car

Performance - went good , braked good (for 4wheel drums) & hadled awsome . was very predictable & enjoyable to drive . Turned heads everywhere & got lots of attention.it is my belief that everyone should learn to drive in a car like this that commands that you be aware of what you are doing . there are no power anything or cup holders . AM radio only , so that you pay attention to driving . What a concept !
