(13 reviews)One of the early 'skinny bumper' Manta's in Red. Original even down to the solex carb, and runs great.
Interesting lifestyle car for fans who don't car about the bad reputation of the Manta-drivers. Unfortunately, it's not as fast as it looks.
one of just 28 cars, and supplied in the mandatory black, this Opel Manta A Turbo has a 1.9-litre four-cylinder engine. It produces 180BHP and 170Lb/ft torque. It is the best alternative to a ford capri. What an awesome car
Performance: Nice handling but a little weak on power. Build quality: Not the best, but simple construction. Constant rattles & squeeks but thats one of its charms ;) Appearance: Great "rally feeling" ;) and sporty neat design. Nice Recaro seats :) Cost of ownership: Cheap parts & relitivley low gas milage for the age of the car & the size of the engine (2,0 liter). Fun Factor: The best thing with the car! =D Really fun to drive & drift around with in the winter!! ;D
What a great handling little coupe for it's day. Underpowered, but fun it the tight twisties. 1.9L four banger was bullet-proof. Original Zenith-Solex carburator was possibly the worst ever made. A swap with a Webber made all things right. Great suspension with rear track bar and torque tube on front of differential - later to be used on Z28 IROCs. Rear diff was the Achilles' heel of the Manta. Great car to learn how to work on cars.
