Underwhelming. Lots of hard plastic. Not what I expected out of Buick at all.

I thought the car itself was great, pricing was the issue.

I had been looking at Cadillac but decided to look at the Buick Envista! Chose the Envista because it drove nicer at a much more reasonable price!

The features and the value is nice. It would be nicer if there were vents in the back of the car and dual air control mode. It saddens me that my 5 yo is suffering longer than I am to cool off. It breaks my heart. I absolutely hate the backup camera. When you backup at night, the camera isn’t clear AT ALL! It’s terrible. I have never seen anything like it and I’ve compared it to other vehicles. You’d think since this is a brand new vehicle the backup camera would be crystal clear when compared to older vehicles. When I back up I can’t use the camera. I have to back up the “old fashioned” way. GMC really needs to fix this issue like yesterday. I’m not sure if it’s just my Envista or all Envistas but it’s definitely a problem. It only happens at night but that would’ve prevented me from purchasing one if I had seen that. Other models I liked was the Sport model. That model was fabulous! Just a little bit above my spending range. It had more of the features that I do like but I’m just not sure about the backup camera because it was daylight. I do like my car. She’s still looks sporty without being the sports model and she’s pretty. Definitely next generation for Buick! I receive a lot of compliments and a lot of people often stare at me while I’m driving. If I can get my backup camera fixed I will be a satisfied and happy customer with my vehicle.

How much does the Buick Envista cost in today's market?

Used Buick Envista prices span a wide range depending on model year. Here's what the market looks like right now:

Model YearCurrent Avg. PriceYear-Round Range
2025$27,928 CAD$27,928 CAD – $31,932 CAD
2024$26,372 CAD$26,370 CAD – $29,137 CAD

The Buick Envista's current nationwide average price is $27,464 CAD, and over the past year it reached a low of $27,245 CAD. Recently, prices have come down for the 2024 and 2025 models, making now a good time to shop recent model years.

Is the Buick Envista a good car?

Yes — the Buick Envista is a solid choice if you want a small crossover with broad owner approval and a polished feel. The all-generations owner rating is 4/5 across every model year in the data.

Expert reviews rate the 2024 model among the highest across all years.

The main trade-offs are limited cargo space, the absence of AWD, and an ergonomic layout that takes some getting used to.

34.8% of listings are priced as good or great deals.

Are Buick Envista models reliable?

Owners consistently give the Buick Envista strong marks for its style, comfort, and value, and the expert review also highlights its comfortable ride and premium-leaning character. Across the model years in the data, that points to a crossover that appeals most when you want everyday ease and a more upscale feel.

  • Owners rate the Buick Envista between 2.0 and 5.0 out of 5 stars across all model years in the data.

For used buyers, long-term ownership risk looks manageable if you choose a well-kept example and stay on top of routine maintenance.

What should I look for when buying a used Buick Envista?

Key things to evaluate:

  • Safety package: automatic emergency braking with front pedestrian braking, forward collision warning, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, automatic high beams, adaptive cruise control, lane-change alert with side blind-zone alert, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist.
  • Infotainment: 11-inch touchscreen with an 8-inch digital instrument cluster, plus wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Fuel efficiency: 7.9 litres per 100 kilometres combined (8.4 city, 7.4 highway).

Which Buick Envista trim should I buy?

The 2024 Buick Envista offers these trims:

  • Preferred: This is the entry trim and the best-value choice if you want the Envista’s core comfort and style at the lowest price point. It includes the cloth-and-leatherette upholstery, flat-bottom steering wheel, and eight-way power driver’s seat.
  • ST: This trim adds black exterior trim, 18-inch wheels, and blue interior contrast stitching, giving you a sportier look and feel. It suits you if you want a more distinctive appearance, and 19-inch wheels are available.
  • Avenir: This is the most upscale trim, with bright exterior trim, standard 19-inch Pearl Nickel wheels, off-white interior contrast stitching, and leather seats. It’s the right pick if you want the most premium presentation.

What Buick Envista do most buyers choose?

The Buick Envista years with the most listings are 2025, 2024, and 2026.

Model YearTotal ListingsGood + Great Deals %
202519834.8%
202418333.9%
20268435.7%
20271546.7%

Higher-volume model years usually give you more choice in colour, trim, and condition, which makes it easier to compare examples and find one that fits your budget. They also tend to be the easiest years to shop because there are simply more listings to sort through.

What is the Buick Envista's resale value?

Model YearCurrent Avg. PriceYear-Over-Year Change
2025$27,928 CAD−12.78%
2024$26,372 CAD−9.53%

Both model years show clear price declines, which is good news if you’re shopping used and want to benefit from softer pricing. The larger drop on the newer model year suggests recent examples have moved down more sharply, while the older model year has also eased in price. Overall, the pattern favours buyers looking for value.

The 2024 and 2025 model years have held their value best, with the smallest year-over-year price changes.

Is the Buick Envista safe?

  • 2024: 7/10

The 2024 model includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist.

For the safest used buy, the 2024 model posts the highest confirmed score of 7/10.

Should I buy a used Buick Envista now or wait for the next model?

Buy now if:

  • Price trend: The 2025 model is at −12.78% versus a year ago, and the 2024 model is at −9.53%.
  • Deal availability: The 2025 model has 34.8% good and great deals, and the 2024 model has 33.9%.
  • Sweet-spot year: The 2025 model has the most listings at a current average price of $27,928 CAD. The Buick Envista offers a stylish, comfortable, and value-focused driving experience that suits everyday use well.

Consider waiting if:

  • Powertrain/efficiency: The sole available powertrain is a 1.2-litre turbocharged three-cylinder engine with 137 horsepower and 162 lb-ft of torque, paired with a six-speed automatic transmission and front-wheel drive (FWD).
  • Tech: The Envista gets an 11-inch touchscreen and an 8-inch digital instrument cluster as standard equipment, along with wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, wireless phone charging, and Wi-Fi connectivity.
  • Safety: Standard driver assist tech includes automatic emergency braking, lane-keep assist, lane-departure warning, adaptive cruise control, blind spot monitoring, rear cross-traffic alert, and rear park assist.
  • Starting price: New vehicle pricing starts at $29,830 CAD for the base Envista Preferred trim level.

If you're buying used today, the 2025 model year offers the best mix of value and availability. If you want the latest tech and features, it may be worth waiting for the next model year's inventory to build up.
