The Merc was too big & cost more, past experience with 3 BMWs that fell apart far too early eliminated that choice. I can put more stuff in the rear seat area than some SUVs! 450HP V8 Hybrid model is the best one and rarer.

I had a 2017 A8 L that I bought with 35k miles. I sold it with 128k miles last December and I can say it was the most reliable car that I have owned. Never had a check engine light, no suspension problems and also no engine or transmission problems. I feel like the A8 is the opposite from a 7 series or Sclass Benz as for its reliability. I had a S class and it was a nightmare. I just bought a 2019 A8 (newest body) and I am happy with it also.
