(8 reviews)I have owned this car for the last three years and the best thing I can say about it is it's been reliable. In those three years, outside the standard oil change, I've only had to replace tires, and a few minor things that go out on all cars (light bulbs, a few cheap interior plastic items). Aside from this, there aren't many positives. The interior is filled with cheap plastics that scratch or fall off with no effort at all. Even though I'm very careful with this car since I'm saving to to a better car soon, I have still had to replace several things on the inside that couldn't handle daily use. Which comes to my second negative point, the brakes in this car are absurdly awful. I don't know if it's a bad ABS system or just the weight of the car, but whenever I go to press the brakes, I'm afraid they're going to fall off.
Tilaa on ihan mukavasti.
we practicly had to pay the dealership to take this pile of crap back! 4 year lease and the thing owed us to return so we had to trade it. This is the car I hate the most of all cars I've owned. My Ford escort would be next in line I guess, and that ROCKED next to this crap. BTW, it was actually just a Dodge Caravan but CarIQ didnt list anything except the Town and Country which would actually be infinitely better!
It's a Chrysler! At just under 60K, the a/c is shot and the suspension is creaking (sway bar bushing, strut mount, tie rod end, who knows?). Chrysler has lived up to its poor reputation for build quality with this vehicle. On the good side, it's roomy, comfy, and safe. The engine is an old design, which is good and bad. The 3.3L V6 is a smaller version of the 3.8L V6, which is itself a V6 version of the Dodge/Chrysler 318cid V8. All that to say it's a relatively smooth, quiet, and composed pushrod engine. However, its 185hp is weak compared to others in the class, and Chrysler would do well to update. At least to OHC, but preferably to DOHC with variable valve timing and a five- or six-speed automatic. The transaxle is a terrible design, and has been since its inception in the 80's. Although it's been strengthened (and renamed from A604 to 41TE), it is still relatively weak and short-lived compared to other automatics. And with only 3 gears plus overdrive, it's now outdated. Chrysler, make a better product or you will sink. Treat your customers better, or no one will mourn your sinking.
we just bought this minivanand have no complaints at all!!!
