I believe it is an excellent value for the money. I don’t think you could get a better sports car for the money. I had a Boxster but gave it to my daughter. It is still going strong. These cars just need timely service

Shot muffler. Unable to get a read on if engine in good shape, couldn’t accelerate hard due to noise and vibrations. Dealer said they would replace the muffler.

996 has great performance and handling. The build quality is high which is the cornerstone of Porsche cars generally. I think the styling of the 996 is beautiful and was unduly criticised. Cost of ownership - economical. It's a fun car!
