Used 1992 Peugeot 106 for Sale near British Columbia

Phase1 XSI was the top spec 106, it was French flimsy and great fun. What it lacked in power it made up for with its chassis making it quite a fun machine. The 1.4 engine was a revvy little number but with 100ish BHP its never gonna win any top speed tests, becoming harder to find good ones now as most have been raided of there gearbox at least.

Was a good first car till i broke it trailers destroy 106's. Had faided paint and few dents already so was never a long term relationship. but was reliable cheap to run and preaty nippy for 1.1 shame it smashed.

My first car was 106xr 1.1 with 60hp. I loved its looks instantly, and the handling and 'feel' of the road is awesome. It is more roomy than you'd think, unless you for some reason want to shove more than 2 people in it :) You can topple the back seat to get a lot of extra space in the trunk. Very easy to park in tight spots. The cons of this car become clear when you leave the city and speed rises above 80kmh. Noise is very loud inside the car and the suspension is not at its best in these situations. Acceleration is OK in 0-80 kmh but above this, it is much worse. Safety features are minimal so hotheaded young drivers should drive something else. Petrol usage is quite economical, even 5,0-5,5 litres per 100 km are not impossible. I'd recommend this as a first car or as a 'shopping bag' to calm drivers if you can find a good one.
