It is a great handling car and still looks great even though it is over 15 years old. The car is still going strong. I did have to replace the the struts and springs and installed coilovers, but that was more because I wanted increased performance and was not a necessity. I love this car and will keep it forever.

The 1992 BMW 325i is the best ride I ever had ! I had a lot of cars in my day but hands up to the 1992 BMW 325i ....You got to drive it to believe it ! There's nothing more to say ...What a sweet ride!!!

My 4 door 1992 BMW 325i (E36 body style) was a very good car, built great and had enough power to handle its own. Interior was comfortable and designed with the driver in mind. My biggest erk was that my specific 1992 325 was a early model (built before 6/92) and they had some different parts than the 325's that were built after 6/92. Also the gray trim along the bottom of the car made the car look higher....easily fixed with paint matching rest of car. There are the usual problems with the car that can be looked up and most likely fixed on your own. The E36 BMW's are one of the last BMWs that you can do DIY work. One of the best features of the E36 BMWs is that a lot of the parts are interchangable with little to no work with other E36 models like the M3. There are still plenty of vendors that carry factory and aftermarket parts for it. The E36 cars can be had for almost pennies on the dollar now, there are still some fine examples out there. Just source an online BMW forum for unlimited information on any question you might have.

Ever since I was a kid I wanted one of these, so I took the time to find a good one. This one had 2 previous owners, full BMW service history and low milage for its age. Mechanically it was superb, ride handling, steering and performance all what you'd expect from a BMW. It was realiable too, the only thing to go on it was the thermostat which went at 121k and wasn't very expensive to replace, but had to be done immediately as the engine was overheating. It also walked straight through its MOT, a testament to its proper upkeep and good quality. It was a joy to drive, the 2.5 straight-6 engine giving great performance and a wonderful howling rasp when revved. It also managed 33mpg on a long high speed run. Being Rwd the handling is fun and it corners like its on rails, though the back end can and will slip out in wet/slippy conditions, so best not to push it in such sitautions. It was also fairly comfy and quiet over long distance too, though the seats lack side support. It can seat 4, but the rear seats are a bit tight, though the boot was spacious and the rear seats split folded, which made it more practical. Cosmetically it wasnt the best, rust starting to creep in at the wheel arches (BMW weak spot) and door edges. The plain red paint also tends to fade easily. Overall running costs were reasonable for a fast beemer, though insurance was high mainly because of my age (19/20). A great all round car, and great fun to drive!

I love this car. it's pretty unique around here so it turns heads wherever i go. the performance is pretty good, even for a 17 year old vehicle and a nearly worn out suspension it still handles a hell of alot better than any car i've ever owned and better than most vehicles on the road around here. it could use more power, but i'm not going to complain about my 2.5L inline 6 cylinder *drool* that has plenty of get up and go by as little as 2,000 rpm where most cars would have to get up to 3,000-4,000 rpm to get an equal amount of get up and go
