Fun to drive, great dashboard and gauges - good looking and I loved the orange lighting at night, excellent push button shift on the fly 4WD, great for NY snowy winters, adjustable rear height, absolutely beautiful styling compared to today's cars. It was a GL-10 wagon - baby blue with chrome wheels (not very common) with raised white letter tires and chrome on various place around the car. Air conditioning died and the car wasn't that old and the car had the weirdest habit of blowing the muffler, every time I floored it to get on the highway. After the third muffler, I stopped flooring it to get on the highway. Thankfully, I didn't travel on the highway where it always seemed to happen, often.

The Subie was incredibly tough it's reliability was unquestionable. The performance was what you'd expect from a tiny four cylinder, but it loved to rev high all day. The rack and pinion steering felt every pebble, as well as, the tires gripping and slipping. It was pretty fun to drive; I've gotten at least two feet of air while hitting a hump in the road, and it kept on going.

I have a Subaru Wagon GL 1984 4WD with 4 low, in very good shape, F/E even laether seats, runs geat in and off road, with a great stereo It´s a classic! I can tow a small trailer with a motor bike and go to the motocross races and I can reach places that only strong 4 wheelers can go, every budy get amazed. I use to do paragliding and also I can climb to the mountains when we go to fly, it´s a very nice, reliable car

this car was awesome, minus electrical fires. bald tires but still the most capable off road car i've had. looking for another. it was so rusty i'd lose things through the floor, metalic green with bright yellow wheels. very stylish!
