My 1978 Celica started out life with white paint. The 20R engine was solid as a rock and provided enough performance with the 5 speed manual transmission to make the car fun to drive. With over 200K miles on the odometer the car proved it's reliability and build quality. It got fairly good gas mileage and with a few modifications handled superbly.

loved the car, with studded rear tires, it could climb the mountain i lived on all winter, even after the previous owners used it to haul clay mud up from the river bottom (the trunk area was rusted out) it was fun to drive, even though the rough treatment caused hoses and wires to come loose, the interior was trashed when i got it, but some decent seats and floor mats made it good enough for me, absolutely loved the styling of the car
