My "Review" is summarized below. My 1974 & 1/2 International Scout got me by for a lot of years--it was built like a TRUCK, but that is what I.H. did so well back then.... It was great in snow and ice, if you knew how to run it. It had none of the electronics that we see now a days. [My, times have changed!] I could even "car camp" on a (plywood) platform that I built over the back "bed" of the Scout II. I enjoyed that manual transmission, and being able to "gear down" when needed! You could reach ALL parts of that engine without having to remove parts and belts, etc., to access it. [This 1974 engine ran on "low lead" gas, so how much lead substitute does it require now?]

Right now it needs the floor repaired above the body mounts. I really need to put the roof back on so it don't cave but it weighs 400 lbs or so. The plastic piece in the panel behind the gas cap leaks. One of the hose clamp points broke off allowing fuel to spill out once it gets full enough. The radiator leaks and is an easy fix, but it costs too much for me right now. The originals are brass. The electrics are being worked on right now. We aren't sure how to connect the wipers up yet.
