The car needed work within 3 days. I'm on Vancouver Island so I took it to an independent mechanic. A tire valve stem needed to be replaced (that was $100), a rear upper control arm was cracked, and the brakes were extremely rusty and I was told they should be replaced and that the car should never have been sold in that condition. I sent Audi the pictures the mechanic took and they said they would replace the bushings - a small job, not the control arms - a much bigger job, and that they would Look at the brakes. They also refused to cover $200 in ferry fares to return to them. I had to be very assertive about making the car safe. They ended up replacing the control arms and polishing the brake rotors, which does improve safety. If I hadn't pushed they would have done much less. The people I dealt with were nice enough. In total this all costed me $300. Plus 14 hours of my time. Audi Richmond is very polished. I expected better of them.

I was interested in seeing a 2020 Kona electric, but a little concerned that it was a bit older than I had hoped. The dealer told me that in fact the car battery had been changed in 2023 and only had 11,000 km on it. When I asked why, he said that it was a factory recall. On this information, I went to see the vehicle and when I arrived, the dealer said that he had made a mistake and it was only the 12 volt battery that had been replaced, not the car battery. I find it hard to believe that the misinformation was unintentional. If it was, the dealer knew very little about electric cars! I did not enjoy my interaction at this dealership and did not buy the car.

Took days to get back to me. Said no discount from price and had a 2100 dealer fees price gouging. Also priced high above 55,000 luxury tax.
