What’s New for the 2026 Chevrolet Corvette
For 2026, Chevy overhauls the Corvette’s cockpit to remedy the unpopular layout that separated driver and passenger. In the process, the ‘Vette’s screens grow from two to three and get bigger as well. A new performance app is standard across the lineup. There are a couple of new exterior colours, a handful of new interior colours, and a newly available electrochromatic glass roof.
Design
For 2026, the Chevy Corvette gets a couple of new exterior colours, Roswell Green Metallic and Blade Silver, as well as newly available graphics packages. Otherwise, the coupe and convertible both look much the same, the former with a removable roof panel and the latter with a power retractable hardtop. The Corvette rocks staggered wheels, a low and wide stance, and brash lines. It earns as much attention on the road as when this generation was new several years ago.
Powertrain
Performance features and options carry over unchanged for 2026. The base Stingray features a 6.2-litre V8 engine rated for 490 horsepower and 465 pound-feet of torque. With the Z06, you’ll get a 5.5-litre V8 engine good for 670 hp and 460 lb-ft. Finally, the ZR1 gets a 5.5-litre twin-turbocharged V8 engine rated for 1,064 hp and 828 lb-ft. All get an eight-speed automatic transmission and rear-wheel drive (RWD).

Interior
The Chevy Corvette’s 2026 updates are centred on the cabin layout. It’s still a snug and cozy space for two, but Chevrolet removed the button panel that previously divided the occupants and rearranged the dashboard to add more and bigger displays. There are some new colour combinations on offer, and there are tons of upgrades for the standard bucket seats, including various grades and hues of leather. Other options include carbon fibre trim, a premium Bose audio system, and a new panoramic roof for the coupe model that can adjust opacity at the touch of a button.
Technology
Across the lineup, the Chevrolet Corvette comes standard with a 12.7-inch digital instrument display paired with a 14.0-inch touchscreen infotainment system. The system is based on Google software and offers Google apps, the Google Assistant voice command system, and wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto. To the left of the steering wheel, there’s a new 6.6-inch touchscreen that enables the driver to easily scroll through data. Wireless charging and a performance app also come standard.
Safety
The Chevrolet Corvette lineup comes standard with a rearview camera, forward collision warnings, automatic emergency braking with pedestrian and cyclist detection, lane departure warning, lane keep assist, and a following distance indicator. Chevrolet also offers the Corvette with a front-view camera, blind-spot warning, and rear cross-traffic alert. The Chevrolet Corvette has not been crash-tested by the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA) or Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS). This is typical for sports cars.
