2026 Buick Enclave: Price, Specs and Release Date

by Chris Teague

Buick shifted away from cars a few years back to focus on crossovers and SUVs. Its largest model, the three-row midsize Enclave, received a complete redesign for the 2025 model year that brought updated tech, new styling, and a revised interior. It remains a style-forward, ultra-comfortable cruiser.

What’s New for the 2026 Buick Enclave

The Buick Enclave received a full redesign for the 2025 model year, so changes for 2026 are minimal. They include two new paint colours and a rearview camera mirror for the Avenir trim.

Design

The Enclave’s new look is sleeker and more modern than its previous iteration. It features slim LED daytime running lights (DRLs) and a large grille that give it an aggressive appearance, but its overall look is still that of a friendly, family-hauling SUV.

Powertrain

Buick offers one powertrain option for the 2026 Enclave. It’s a turbocharged 2.5-litre four-cylinder engine with 328 horsepower and 326 pound-feet of torque. It pairs with an eight-speed automatic transmission and standard all-wheel drive (AWD) in Canada. While it’s plenty powerful, the four-cylinder engine can be noisy at times, cutting into the Buick’s quiet interior space.

Interior

The three-row Enclave seats up to seven people on standard synthetic leather upholstery with heated front seats and a heated steering wheel. Genuine quilted or perforated leather upholstery is available along with ventilated front seats, heated rear outboard seats, massaging features, and more. The front two rows are spacious and comfortable, but the third row is tight and difficult to access. Some also struggle with the Enclave’s car seat anchors, which are located deep in the seat, making them difficult to access and use. Cargo space is decent at up to 648 litres behind the third row, 1,617 litres behind the second-row seats, and 2,761 litres with the back two rows folded flat.

Technology

The 2026 Buick Enclave comes standard with 30 inches of total screen space, wireless Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, Google Built-In, and a 12-speaker Bose stereo. Other standard tech features include wireless charging, SiriusXM, three-zone automatic climate control, air filtration, and more. The system is packed with features, and Google Built-In adds a layer of functionality not seen in previous systems. That said, the large screen can be distracting, and there’s no volume knob.

Safety

The 2026 Enclave hasn’t yet seen crash tests from the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety (IIHS) or the U.S. National Highway Traffic Safety Administration (NHTSA). It comes with a long list of standard driver assistance features including blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, automatic emergency braking, forward collision warning, automatic high beams, pedestrian and bicyclist detection, traffic sign recognition, and more.
