New Used 2003 Saturn ION - Scammed twice by repair mechanics so far

Asked by stephsters8cats Apr 14, 2014 at 04:16 AM about the 2003 Saturn ION 2

Question type: General

I bought this car used and I know it had a few issues, however, I have been to 2 places so
far and very little progress has been made.  I find that very disappointing due to the fact
that the amount is adding up.  Would a small shop be better compared to a large chain
type shop?

Dishonest repairmen come in all sizes, Honey.. Large and small.. Ask friends, family, people you trust, where they go to have their autos repaired and if they are satisfied with the service they receive. Word of mouth works best. People talk about getting great service, as much as they talk about getting ripped off, when they actually get it. Just make sure it comes from someone you know and trust. You can also check a business out with the Better Business Bureau (http://www.bbb.org/), or YELP (www.yelp.com), and Consumer Reports, at: http://www.consumerreports.org/cro/car-repair-shops.htm .. Good luck.
