You should be under warranty. Unless you're over the mileage limit. Let your local Ford Dealer fix it for free! Demand a loaner car too. Hope that helps! Jim

Ford will look at it in a months time if we book it in now and its our daily work wagon, All the dash lights have lit up , like air bags etc and the mechanic says its to dangerous to drive it. Insurance company say they dont cover wiring fire issues

That's fine. If you're entitled to a loaner vehicle as per the terms and conditions of the warranty coverage drop it off and get your free loaner vehicle. They'll get to it pretty quickly then! Also, don't be afraid to call Ford directly. Look up their customer service number and call if the Dealer gives you a hard time. Ford is hurting right now and the last thing they want is an angry customer who can tell all their friends on social media about their abysmal customer service!! Good luck to you with this! Jim

You're welcome. Glad to help! It should be mentioned in your warranty booklet or the downloadable version of the booklet. Jim
