CHECK ENGINE LIGHT

Asked by cjb_7018 Oct 23, 2018 at 03:01 PM about the 2002 Pontiac Sunfire SE Coupe

Question type: General

OK, SO I RECENTLY BOUGHT A USED
2002 PONTIAC SUNFIRE, WITH A
REBUILT ENGINE, AND 2 DAYS AGO
THE CHECK ENGINE LIGHT CAME ON,
AND HAS STAYED ON! SO I HAVE
CHECKED ALL THE FLUIDS! HAS
PLENTY OF OIL, THE TRANSMISSION
FLUID AND IS A BIT MORE DIFFICULT
TO CHECK,  BUT I HAVE STUCK MY
FINGER IN THE FILL HOLE, AND
DIDN'T GET MUCH ON MY FINGER,
BUT JUST A TOUCH, ALSO, THE LIGHT
CAME ON THE SECOND TIME I HAD
USED THE HEAT ON! SO I AM
WONDERING, WHAT THE POTENTIAL
PROBLEM COULD BE, AND HOW TO
FIX IT?

Have the trouble codes read. Try your local auto parts store which can probably read them for you.
