Tow safely with a 2012 Subaru Outback

Asked by Guru955677 Dec 30, 2020 at 08:11 AM about the 2021 Subaru Outback Touring XT Crossover AWD

Question type: Car Customization

I plan to purchase a small camper. I want to protect my vehicle.
In order to tow safely do I need to add anything to my 2012 Subaru
Outback?
air cooler?
oil cooler?
transmission cooler?
stabilizer?
brakes?
Where should I buy my hitch?

Trailer brakes if you don't have them already. Make sure the trailer and load are not too heavy. A fluid change in the car would be smart.
