Ac works then not works

Asked by Johnny Sep 02, 2019 at 08:59 PM about the 2003 Pontiac Vibe Base

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The blower will work for one minute, the ac button
will flicker then the whole system will shut off and
will not work on any speed. Cut the car off for a
few minutes then it will work perfectly again then
quit the next few minutes. I read online that it
could either be a loose heater/ blower motor relay
or the blower motor resistor could be going bad.

Have a shop check refrigerant pressure, if it's too low the system will cycle on and off, until it eventually stops working altogether.
