Front right brake noise

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

When braking the front right wheel makes a pulsed rubbing sound.  Can lightly use brake, no sound.  When braking harder, no affect on steering and stops fine.  Have had the wheel off and find nothing loose.  There is a slightly pitted spot on the rotor about the size of a brake pad, polishing had no affect.

Now I see the caliper is rubbing in the inside of the wheel. I've had the caliper off/on but only see one way for it to fit. Wheel is not bent and spindle bearing is tight. Replaced guide pin boots, was easy and fit well. ???

Relieved tension on the anti-rattle spring on the outside pad, works. Not sure why I had to do that. Thanks for all your help.
