Van starts but cuts off when trying to drive it

Okay i have a 1998 plymouth voyager mini van it
starts right up no problem but when i go to put it in
reverse and press the gas petal it cuts off please
help

Sounds like it could be the fuel regulator that is bad. Not able to create enough fuel pressure when you need more gas.
