I have a nissan 240sx 1991 what is the spring that connects to the transmission that affects the clutch pedal?

My clutch pedal is all the way on the
ground and doesnt lift on its own

There is no spring for this,your clucth is hydraulic,you have one of the two gone bad or both,master cylinder,or slave cylinder.

Sounds like slave cylinder!!! Is it stuck in a gear or can it still shift while running,if it will start??
