Timing Belt or Timing Chain

Does the 1.2L Mivec engine in the Mirage use a timing belt or timing chain?
Belts require periodic replacement adding high cost (mostly labor cost), Chains
last much longer and may likely never need to be replaced.

You'll need to ask your local Mitsubishi Dealer. It's too new to look up parts that are still in warranty. Hope that helps! Jim

Other engines in this series use a chain. This engine would almost certainly also use a timing chain.
