Hi Larry, I have a 96 XE 4x2 King cab. We pretty much have the same thing. Same problem. From what I've been told is that all of your light are run from your universal turn signal switch. Inside your steering column. I've talked to quite a few mechanics, and they all told me the same thing. I just got a new one and I will let you know how it turns out.
head lights come on , but nothing else works , have power to two fuses for the tail lights but that's it .
