how can I hook the five wire system that I had to cut from plug to connect to a four wiire universal tail light with reverse for 99 frontier xe

Asked by GuruCMDWM Mar 09, 2019 at 02:40 PM about the 1999 Nissan Frontier 2 Dr XE V6 4WD Extended Cab SB

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had to buy universal tail lights on my 99 frontier xe, because I built a flat bed,
and I’m trying to connect the five wires from the truck to the four wires that’s
on the universal lights that have reverse on it, the wires on the universal are
red for stop and turn, black for taillight/running light, white for ground, yellow
for rev. Truck has a blu/red , red/brown, yellow and red, yellow/ green, black,
for one side, and blue/red, red/ brown, yellow/ red, red/green, and black, on
other side, I know the yellow is reverse, the white on the universal is a ground,
as for every thing else I’m lost, I can’t seem to get the wiring right.
