why when i press the gas petal is my temp. needle going to cold but when i let off it goes back to normal

I rescently went off the road and my car went into the ditch.. well since then when i press
down on my gas petal the needle goes to cold instantly but when i let off the gas it goes
back to normal. . . . what is wrong and what do i do to fix it??

When your engine is cold check the coolant level. It's possible that you have a slight leak.

i actually have checked it twice well cold and i am not losing and fluids.. i am really stumped as to why its doing it.
