First time owning a car need some help as
to where to u locate and replace parts

These days a tuneup is usually just spark plugs. You can also install new spark plug wires and if you want to spend the money, a new coil pack. It won't hurt to run a good fuel system cleaner through a tank of gas like Seafoam. Replace the air filter while you are at it.
