"engine service soon" light has been on for a couple weeks,my cars engine will shut off while at a light but the radio and lights will remain on, what could this be!?!??

you have to get the engine light codes read. that will give you a place to start.

That is a mass air flow sensor problem. The sensor itself is probably between 50 and 75 bucks. It may just need cleaned. If it were me, I would check the wiring to the sensor, and remove it and clean it. You have to use MAF cleaner specifically. DO NOT USE CARB CLEANER OR ANY OTHER CLEANER! the sensor wires can be damaged. after this, have the code turned off and see if it comes back. If the code comes back, or the car dies again, you probably need a new one.
