Gas in Sprinter diesel van

A van rental place claimed there was gas in the
diesel van we rented. They called us 2 weeks after
it was returned mind you. But we filled up over 100
miles from our return spot. And then the next day
topped the tank off before it was returned. How
long could a Sprinter van run If the tank is filled 3/4
of the way with gas?

You can't stick a diesel fill gun in to a gas filling port on a car, that's what's I find while traveling to Newfoundland many years ago , I accidentally take a diesel fill gun off pump and find the thing didn't fit, I guess that's the way they designed to provent such mistake.
Or the drunk tank driver puts gas into the underground diesel tanks at the gas station.

if you put gas in a diesel motor it will blow up your engine But if you put diesel in a gas engine it will stop Gas is dry wrecks engine rings But no damage will be done by putting diesel in a gas engine it will just konk out
