2019 Dodge Challenger V6 Hard Knock on right side

Hi. I just purchased my 2019 Dodge Challenger.
Test driving no noises, it’s been awesome! Then
about a week later I heard a loud knock as soon as
I started it. The engine was cold, left for the day to
go to work. Nothing. Then left for lunch, nothing.
Went to the grocery store later that evening and
did it again. It sounds like when you pop your
hood. It’s a hard pop. But that’s it and it’s only
usually when the engine is cold. Just unsure what
this is. Took it to Dodge they looked at it and said
because there is no code it would be hard to
diagnose. Anyone have this issue? Please help!

I got a 2019 Dodge Challenger with the same problem. It only knocks when the engine is cold. Brought it to different mechanics and they can’t figure it out

Use your warranty and document it! You may be on your way to a new engine.
