Question type: General

Hi,
We have a new Crosstrek with all its new Eyesight safety bells and whistles
including lane departure and sway warnings. When we are driving at normal
speeds the system will beep and show a lane with a car in it followed by the
word "off" flashing in the cluster. What does this mean? I have reviewed the
Eyesight quick guide and see no reference to this warning.

According to the dealer who just took me for a test drive, the lane departure feature is only active above 38 mph. So that beeping and icon may be the system alerting you that is no longer on as you drop below that speed.

Thank you GuruBP67B. I don't think that's it. The "off" flashes right after a lane sway or departure warning, indicating that the warning is on. I think it is just resetting it after the instance. That said, still not sure.

I know this is an old post, but did you ever figure this out? I test drove a Crosstrek today, and will probably be buying the car. I also saw the "Off" as I was driving, but it seemed related to when they were cars approach me from the opposite direction. But I could certainly be wrong.
