I have a mitsubishi montero sport and can't get to go pass 2rpm per hour.

Asked by Barrera Apr 07, 2015 at 04:37 PM about the 2000 Mitsubishi Montero Base 4WD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Changed alternator, then truck started
surging when driving. After start up 5min
runs great. Then it starts losing idal and
motor starts surgeing. It go pass 2 rpm.
Can you help.

ok first off that 2 is 2000 and RPM means revolutions per minute,, not per hour,,

ok when you say that it runs great after 5 minutes do you mean that it drives fine or that it idles fine?

just from what I understand from what Ive read it sounds like the IACV is bad,,, unless you mean that it drives badly as the IACV only controls the idle
