Loud thump when putting car in drive or reverse. No lights on, no leaks. What could this be?

There is a loud thump when putting the car in drive or reverse.  No service
lights are on, no leaks.  What could this be?

It is probably in the drive line. Should have the CV axle shafts, and drive shaft inspected. A clunking means something is very worn out and break if not fix soon.
