Will.not shift out of park.

Came back to parked 4WD 2002.blazer, once
started car woyld allow shifter to pass
through each phase....but none would engage
move car. When towing should lt be towed
forward or backwards?

Sounds like the transmission is fried. If it has an automatic transmission you can either remove both drive-lines to flat tow it, or put it on a trailer, just putting the transfer case in neutral won't guarantee something won't get damaged. If it has a standard transmission then you can flat tow it in neutral, just make sure all the fluid levels are where they should be. Personally if I'm going to tow a vehicle I would just trailer it no matter what transmission it had.
