V6 to a v8 swap

Asked by Guru9JD6V Jul 29, 2017 at 05:54 PM about the 1998 Ford Mustang Coupe RWD

Question type: Car Customization

So I have a std 98 mustang and I want to put a 302
in it. I can get a high mileage motor for cheap and
rebuild it  but it is from a fox style mustang would
it work in my car or am I better off finding a 95-96
302 to pu in it? And would my automatic
transmission work on either motor?

I would either use a correct Triton V8 for your Mustang or find an older Stang for that motor.
